Lincoln Park Zoo 1

Rough gesture sketches of chimps and flamingos from the Lincoln Park Zoo last Friday. Gotta keep going back to, once again, build up my quick-sketch chops. Those buggers don't like to sit still for nothin'. Maybe I'll just stick to drawing dead animals at the Field Museum.

Maybe you could shoot the animals with tranq's through a blowgun?

Nice flamingos! I wish I could draw.....

Shaneyshaneshane.com in no way condones the use of tranquilizers or blowguns at public zoos-- even though it is a really, really good idea. So... that isn't to say that we discourage the practice... we just don't condone it. Does that make sense?

I got the memo?

Is that Rumsfeld's signature?

I am suddenly reminded of another picture you drew, one of a certain someone at a high school in Oklahoma - wearing a football jersey, with dragging knuckles and a monobrow "reminiscent of his woodland cousins."

Are you speaking of "Le Roy?" I remember no such thing...
(ellipses mean I do)
