Drawing at the Field - January 2010
Another day at the Field and here's what I came up with. More nice people stopping by to say hello. A nice French family who were totally accepting of awkward silence as they stared over my shoulder whispering to one another. Children are the best though. They tend to get so excited about what you're doing that they feel the need to become a part of it by affirming your skills. Gotta love the Field.

Devil's Dandruff
Been awhile. Things have been kinda crazy here at that ShaneyShaneShane compound. Finally sorta finished with this here Meth Hedz image. Been chipping away at it for awhile in my spare time. Still need to design and write the text for the back. Also may redesign the Meth Hedz logo so that it can fit along an edge of the card. Check out the original sketch.

Drawin' at the Field - September '09
Did some drawing at the Field museum again this weekend. Another time when I become part of other people's vacation photos. Another time when children are almost more excited to see some guy drawing the exhibits than to see the exhibits themselves. Another time when I hear lots of people tell me how they used to draw until they gave it up. Which becomes another time when I encourage them to pick it up again. (Funny how drawing is easy to quit, but smoking isn't.)
I met some nice folks. And had lots of moms and kids breathing quietly over my shoulder as I tried to familiarize myself with chalk pastels once again. It's been awhile since I've used them, but I think I'll try them again.
